Supervised Contact service
Supervised contact allows children to spend time safely with a parent or family member, with a trained professional present to support the child’s well-being and ensure the contact is safe, calm, and positive.
Who is it for?
Our supervised contact service supports families where contact needs to take place safely, neutrally, or with professional oversight. This may include private family arrangements, court-ordered contact, or situations involving safeguarding concerns.
When will you need us?
Supervised contact may be appropriate where:
Contact is court-directed
Relationships between adults are highly conflicted
A child has been separated from a parent for a period of time
There are safeguarding, welfare, or re-introduction concerns
A professional, neutral setting is required
How Sessions Work?
Sessions are planned in advance and tailored to the child’s age, needs, and circumstances. Contact may take place in a community setting or agreed venue. A trained supervisor is present throughout to observe, support the child, and ensure the session remains safe and child-focused.
A Child-Focused Approach
Our approach is always child-focused. This means the child’s emotional safety, comfort, and experience are prioritised above adult needs, conflicts or disputes. We aim to create contact that is not only safe, but as positive and natural as possible for the child. We work locally within communities, minimising disruption to the child’s everyday life.
We are entirely Neutral we are not there to take side but make sure family time is safe and as positive and experience as possible.
Communication and Reporting
Where required, we can provide professional session records or reports for solicitors, courts, or local authorities. Communication between parents can also be managed through the service to help reduce conflict and keep the focus on the child.
